Hi! Welcome to TLDR Weekly! You’re reading this because you probably stumbled upon this post somewhere on the internet instead of where it should be—in your inbox. But no worries; we can fix that.

Why should you subscribe?

  1. You don’t have time to read newspapers

  2. You like to be informed

  3. You usually find the news long and boring

  4. We curate all the top stories from Uganda and the rest of the world into one email, which we send to you every Monday (hopefully, it finds you well)

  5. We will occasionally make you laugh

  6. It’s brief

Good morning from the only email account you’re glad has circled back 🌤️.

The team at Meta sat down at Christmas dinner and contemplated how they can make the human experience across the Meta platforms (IG, Facebook, etc.) better, and you know what they came up with? Flooding the platforms with AI-generated users and content because, apparently, you feel bad when no one likes your posts. However, online backlash—calling the tech creepy and unnecessary—made Meta reconsider (for now).

As you can see, the world is just as crazy as you left it, but we’re happy to be the ones to tell you just how much.

Happy New Year (for the last time. Seriously, stop saying it.)!
