Good morning 🌤️ Uganda doesn’t have a monopoly on ridiculous public policy. To promote local music, the Chechen Republic of Russia (yes, a real place) announced a new ban on music with tempos faster than 80 beats per minute or slower than 116 beats per minute. The legislation effectively bans pop, techno, a lot of Afrobeats, and Twister’s verse in Slow Jams. By the law of unintended consequences, they’ve also decreed that Chechens aren’t allowed anywhere near the aux cord on road trips.

Have a good week!
