Good morning 🌥️ After years of teasing artificial general intelligence, which is AI that could be as—if not more—intelligent than humans, OpenAI stopped pussyfooting about trying to change the world for the better and resolved to change your wallets instead. OpenAI mustered all its innovation and computing power to bring two new products last week: 1) a social media app called Sora, which ostensibly ends video’s reign as the last frontier for you and your aunt knowing if that video is real or not, and 2) ads in ChatGPT, allowing people to sh*t where they eat search for items and buy them right in the chat interface.
